This isn't a goodbye... but a see you later! 💔

I’ve been grappling with the idea of closing Turquoise Mountains for a few months now. It's really difficult to be a self-funded small business owner, especially when you start with so little on your own. It took a lot of courage and I put my all into it since day one back in January 2020.

Being apart of the Latin community in Austin has made me feel more at home. When I moved here 15 years ago, I did not feel like there was the same kind of support for our community as there is today. I thank every single person and organization that has believed in me on this journey.

With the rising cost of ingredients and goods, I would need to heavily increase my prices in order to stay open, which is not something I really want to do because I started TQM to give my community access to affordable, quality products. It’s time for me to rethink my business plan. I hope to come back next year with a more curated selection of goods but there is not a clear date as to when this will be. I don't know if I will be making more of any of our current products again either.

For now, you can find the rest of our limited stock online at a discount until we run out. If you are in Austin, please go shop at and support these amazing shops that carry our product and have supported us so wholeheartedly over the years:

Happy Clouds @happycloudsatx (5 Locations)

Abe's Smoke Shop @abessmokeshop (3 Locations)

The Smoking Caterpillar @smokingcaterpillaron6th (Downtown 6th St)

Taquero Mucho @taqueromucho - High Maintenance CBD Drink

Please help spread the word and support, if you can. My love goes out to all of the amazing people that have surrounded and uplifted me along the way. I know that I can get things back to that sweet spot but until then, I thank you from the bottom of my CORAZON for all of your support!

This is not a goodbye... but we hope to be back at it in 2024!

Sincerely, Milinda ✨
